Glen

Blake

Founder and Advisor, Deputy Public Defender, University of Tulsa College of Law Adjunct Professor

Glen Blake is an advisor for Project Commutation, which began in 2018.  In this role, he has worked with hundreds of incarcerated individuals in pursuing commutations of unjust and excessive prison sentences, as well as paroles.  He currently works as a Deputy Public Defender at the Tulsa County Public Defender’s office, and focuses the majority of his time on creating systemic changes to improve the criminal justice system in Tulsa County and statewide.  He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he directs the Public Defender Clinic.  Glen is a graduate of the University of Tulsa and University of Tulsa College of Law.

Stephanie

Horten

Executive Director of Justice Link

Stephanie Horten is the Executive Director of JusticeLink. Her focus is on creating systemic changes to improve the lives of those impacted by the criminal legal system in Tulsa County and statewide. Throughout her career she has worked with hundreds of incarcerated men and women serving unjust and excessive prison sentences.

Stephanie graduated from Northwestern University School of Law in 2004.  She has worked at a large law firm, as an Assistant Appellate Defender in Chicago, and as a cooperating attorney at the Center on Wrongful Convictions.  Prior to her work with Project Commutation, she worked at Family & Children’s Services where she led a local group of stakeholders working toward criminal justice reform and helped to create services and resources for justice involved women in Tulsa County to help them successfully exit the criminal legal system.

Morgan

Hale

Managing Attorney and Program Director, University of Tulsa College of Law Staff Attorney

Morgan Hale is the Managing Attorney and Program Director for Project Commutation. In this role,  she helps incarcerated individuals navigate the parole and commutation process which includes visiting correctional facilities, preparing parole packets, advising clients, and advocating for clients at their hearings in front of the Pardon and Parole Board. She began working with Project Commutation in 2019 as a law student and has represented over 350 clients for parole and commutation since that time. Morgan is also a staff attorney at The University of Tulsa College of Law for the Public Defender Clinic.

Morgan graduated with a BA from OU in Political Science with minors in History and Sociology in 2016 and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2020.

Madison

Boone

Attorney

Madison Boone is an Attorney for Project Commutation. In this role she helps incarcerated individuals navigate the parole and commutation process which includes visiting correctional facilities, preparing parole packets, advising clients, and advocating for clients at their hearings in front of the Pardon and Parole Board. She began working with Project Commutation in 2020 as a law student and has remained with the project since that time.

Madison graduated with a BS from Oklahoma State University in Political Science with minors in Sociology and Law and Legal Studies in 2019, and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law with highest honors in 2022.

Connor

Doyle

Legal Re-Entry Attorney

Connor Doyle is the Legal Re-Entry attorney for Project Commutation. He assists clients with a variety of outstanding legal issues while they are incarcerated and after they are released from prison. Connor reviews criminal history prior to release to identify potential legal issues and to address outstanding warrants. Once clients are released from prison, he provides support regarding fines and costs and civil matters.

Connor Graduated with a BA from The George Washington University in Political Science in 2019 and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2023

Breana

Blackburn

Reentry Team

Breana Blackburn is a Reentry Case Manager for Project Commutation. As a part of the reentry team, she works together with the attorneys and staff of Project Commutation to provide support services to justice-involved individuals while incarcerated and as they re-enter our communities. Breana works together with our team to arrange, coordinate, monitor, evaluate, and fully advocate for all of our clients so that they can experience a successful reentry process. Whether it’s housing, transportation, hygiene products, employment, or even just someone to talk to- the Reentry Team is here for them!

Breana has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology, with a certificate in criminal justice. She spent the first 3 years out of college working in the mental health field as behavioral health case manager. She moved to Oklahoma over a year ago, obtained her BHCM II certification, and started her adventure with working in the prison system.

Emma

Durham

Reentry Team

Emma Durham is a Reentry Case Manager for Project Commutation. As a part of the reentry team, she works together with the attorneys and staff of Project Commutation to provide support services to justice-involved individuals while incarcerated and as they re-enter our communities. Emma works together with our team to arrange, coordinate, monitor, evaluate, and fully advocate for all of our clients so that they can experience a successful reentry process. Whether it’s housing, transportation, hygiene products, employment, or even just someone to talk to- the Reentry Team is here for them!

LaCrisha

Crawford

Legal Executive Assistant

LaCrisha Crawford is the Legal Executive Assistant to Project Commutation attorneys. She brings over 7 years of administrative experience to the table with expertise in correspondence, customer service, and file management.  LaCrisha has helped cultivate a harmonious and fastidious work environment within the office that allows her to graciously represent the face of the company when meeting and corresponding with new and old clients alike. LaCrisha’s sunny disposition and great phone manner show clients they have reached someone that cares.   

Originally from Muskogee, Oklahoma, LaCrisha graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. While attending school, LaCrisha worked for Fellers, Snider, Blakenship, Bailey & Tippens as Office Support for four years, undertaking a broad range of secretarial and administrative duties. When Fellers’ Tulsa office closed, LaCrisha went on to join Richards & Conner, PLLP as a Legal Assistant, advancing her skills in drafting pleadings for Federal and State courts. After 3 1/2 years at Richards, LaCrisha began to feel a pull towards helping people in the judicial system more directly. Enter the opportunity to join Project Commutation. LaCrisha greatly enjoys working directly with the public and Project Commutation's clients.
